Blossom in Orbit

Interstellar Lab partnered with Vast to integrate its plant research payload Eden in Haven-1, scheduled to be the world’s first commercial space station launching in 2027. One of its crewed missions is planned to carry Mission Little Prince into orbit, where astronauts will grow roses in microgravity inside the Eden BioCapsule.

Our final destination to send roses through space is the Red Planet itself, Mars. More on our partner coming soon.

Microgravity Rose Research

With

Eden

The next-generation BioPod Eden is a cutting-edge platform engineered for advanced life-science research on orbital stations. It pushes the frontiers of microgravity plant research by cultivating flora in zero-gravity conditions — generating critical insights for future lunar and Mars missions while delivering breakthroughs for Earth-based agriculture. At the heart of Eden lies Gaia, Interstellar Lab’s intelligent AI-driven operating system that autonomously monitors, controls, and optimizes the entire growth environment.

Mission Steps [01]

Mission Little Prince in low earth orbit

Interstellar Lab has partnered with Vast, the company developing next-generation commercial space stations, to integrate its Eden plant growth chamber into Haven-1 Lab — scheduled to be the world’s first microgravity research, development, and manufacturing platform aboard a commercial space station. Eden will operate as an AI-controlled BioPod dedicated to pioneering plant growth research in microgravity. Inside the Eden chamber, Haven-1 crew will cultivate the Little Prince’s rose — which could become the first rose ever grown beyond Earth.

Blooming roses on the moon

With

Bloom

Bloom is a standalone BioPod designed for life-sciences research on the lunar surface. Developed to resist extreme conditions, Bloom will help the development of a first manned base on the Moon by understanding how life can thrive when exposed to this environment

Mission Little Prince on the moon

Interstellar Lab partnered with Astrolab to install the payload on the lunar surface with the FLEX (Flexible Logistics and Exploration) rover. This is Astrolab's larger modular rover capable of completing a variety of different customer missions. FLEX will deploy payloads for Interstellar Lab and other Astrolab customers in the late 2028 timeframe.
